It works. I could drive around with this connected to the 12V output on the car and not use the batteries in my Garmin GPSmaps 60CSx. When it came, I had a really difficult time pushing the connector onto the GPS slot. It finally started to go and after I connected and disconneeted several times it fit okay.

This is perfect for not using the batteries on your unit and just keeping it plugged into the vehicle to run it. I also use it on my bike.

I got this Garmin compatible cigarette lighter power adapter for my Garin GPS 60CSX. It works great in my vehicle. It powers the gps unit without using up your batteries. The only complaint I have is that it will come out of the unit easily if you handle the unit to much. Other than that it great that is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. It shipped quickly and got to me in a timely manner as well.

1 Star These cradles are a rip off
The little tongs you see there a extremely delicate and if one gets bent which it will you will lose connection to the GPS. A couple of years ago we had to buy a replacement cradle and at the time they were way cheaper-like $30. Now I guess since they are so delicate and constantly needs replaced and this is your only option if you want your GPS to work they’ve jacked up the price to $70. Nice company. Not money hungry or heartless or anything. Since we’ve replaced the last one another tong has been bent so guess what that means? To be honest we’re selling our Magellan and buying a Tomtom. I refuse to keep handing them money because they’ve sold us a bad product.

it on, the whole unit went bad and now I’m stuck with a new part.

4 Stars Improved replacement
This is a much improved replacement to the original cradle that came with my Magellan 700 GPS. The original cradle developed a faulty power connector over time, probably from falling off the windshield and onto the dash a number of times (faulty suction cup, which I’ve also replaced.

Recommended only if you’re keeping your old GPS. More up-to-date technology in current GPS units.

The cigarette replacement was a perfect match for my unit. The original cigarette cord received from Magellan was never quite right and eventually the connector broke off in the craddle.

All of a sudden, my original car charger for my Magellan RoadMate stopped working. Couldn’t find a replacement on the Magellan site. I saw this and gave it a try. Received as promised. Works like a charm! Much cheaper than purchasing a new magellan.

5 Stars GPS dashboard pad
Have used the Bracketron pad with my Garmin for several weeks now and am very pleased with it. It is easy to set up, stays in place and is easy to remove when parking or leaving the car.

Had originally purchased this at Best Buy for $40.00 and before I could use it found it at Amazon for the incredible price of under $12.00. Needless to say I returned the unused one to Best Buy.

This device is simple, yet greatly helpful when using my Magellan GPS receiver. Easy to move and use as needed.It is well worth the price when considering what would happen if theives saw a GPS in your car for their taking. Glad I purchased it.

4 Stars Does what it’s supposed to do!
Like the rest of the reviews say, stays right on top of your dash. However, I need to point out that if you have a TomTom One or possibly other TomTom’s it may not be ideal. The TomTom mount is quite short so the GPS has to be angled upwards. However, if you’re listening more than looking at the GPS for directions this is somewhat irrelevant.

All in all, for the money, it’s hard to beat!

I drive a car where the windshield is pretty far from my view, so having this handy dash pad helped me to get my TomTom right where I wanted it. This is simple to use and stays in place just as advertised. I recently took a road trip from Southern CA all the way up to the northern border of CA and Oregon and the dash mat was a life saver!
