Another iPhone “killer” is here! Toshiba has just released its new touchscreen 3G smartphone running on Windows Mobile 6.1, the TG01. Powered by Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon QSD2850 chipset, it’s thick only 9.9 mm but equipped with a large 4.1″ WVGA 800 x 480 vivid touch display. The new TG01 also comes out with built-in Toshiba’s HDTV technologies as well as up to 32GB microSDHC card slot support, Wi-Fi, GPS and A-GPS. OK, so I haven’t fallen out of love with Mobile Tech, but I have been lulled lately. I have ranted on here about how we are using the same old technology over and over again in all these new devices. Sure, there has been some software developments, but we haven’t really seen anything change, hardware wise, in quite some time. This will all change with the Toshiba TG01.
