User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Perfect fit for a Garmin Nuvi 205
I purchased the Glisson GL35BC Premium Leather Case for 3.5 inch GPS. My Garmin Nuvi 205 GPS fits perfectly.

1 Star This case is not made from leather….
It is well-made BUT it is made from vinyl not like advertised. Not from “Premium Leather”. Hey, Amazon what are you doing to your customers???

Who are other reviewers saying it is premium-leather made??

4 Stars Stylish and functional way to protect a GPS unit.
This product is exactly as pictured, with no surprises. The quality of the product, including the leather and construction is very good. The only complaint that I have is that the belt clip is not removable, making it a little cumbersome to fit it in a purse or smaller space without some effort or the risk of the clip snagging. The case is hard sided, offering great protection for my Garmin Nuvi 255. The magnetic closure is a convenient way to secure the GPS unit, but the top cover is rigid and can easily become an obstacle in removing the unit while worn on a belt. The top of the sides are open, not completely covering the unit, but this is intentional to allow the power button to remain in the off position or to prevent unnecessary pressure that may break the button all together. The only thing that you need to watch out for is getting use to removing the GPS unit without damaging the power button which can easily happen if great care is not taken when removing the unit from the case. There isn’t enough room to grip the front and back of the unit with your fingers, so you are forced to remove the GPS by gripping the sides, which is why I recommend getting use to doing this gently to avoid damaging the power button or dropping the unit. Overall, I am happy with this product despite the inability to remove the belt clip.

5 Stars Gps Case
Great Leather Case. Slides over my belt. I put the GPS in the case when I leave the car.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Good GPS but get the 400t
The Garmin Oregon 300 GPS picks up satellite signals very quickly. I have even tested the sensitivity by checking for satellite signals while in my basement, without any windows nearby and it still picked up enough satellites to provide coordinates within 15 feet. I took this GPS on a hike in NY and found it to be very easy to use and very accurate. However, the screen is not very bright and not visible in direct sunlight but shading it with your hand allows it to still be usable. My only true disappointment is that I didn’t purchase the 400t with the pre-loaded topographical maps. The Oregon 300 can be loaded with these maps but it will cost you another 80 bucks or so. I have seen the 400t on-sale for around 400, which is only 20 bucks more than what I paid for the 300 without the maps. I think the topo maps are what would make this GPS much more useful and if you look around, you can find a good deal on the 400t instead of buying this one.

4 Stars A good GPS
Oregon 300 is good GPS; very portable and intuitive, very rapid acquisition of satellites (Hotfix excelent).

Cons: function automotive does not have “detour”…(Colorado series have detour function) I recommend, when garmin generates the function “detour”, I have had nuvi series 200, 200w, 255w and 850 and they all bring the function detour in automotive mode

4 Stars Intuitive to use
I spent a lot of time reading reviews before I bought this product and do tend to agree with both the plusses and minuses of other reviewers. I have found it to be wonderful for paperless geocaching and very intuitive to use compared to my Garmin Vista. It does go through batteries much faster, and it is harder to read in the sunlight. Seeing the screen isn’t a problem when following the compass marker, but reading the small details like the map icons can be somewhat challenging. It says something, though, that this is the unit I chose to use when geocaching even though I stil have my other one.

4 Stars oregon 300
The Oregon 300 is a great paper saving machine. Love this for geocaching, giving on road as well as off road directions, seeing all of the description, hints & logs. It does seem that Garmin could have made it easier to go from page to page without always going back. The backlight quits working quckly even though the batteriers still have a lot of life in them. I’ll try lithium to see if that helps. Overall

I would recommend it.

5 Stars Love this product
I use this for Geocaching and its amazing. It does need to a update install from Garmin. After that the accuracy is as good as my 60CSx. I love it.

Garmin Bicycle Mount for eTrex and Summit 010 10267 00

Garmin Bicycle Mount for eTrex and Summit 010 10267 00

Now securing your GPS onto the handlebar of your bike is a snap with Garmin’s Bicycle Mount Bracket for Etrex/Summit. This bicycle mount fits bars up to 1 inch in diameter and is a safe, secure way to take your GPS with you. It’s also great for motorcycles and ATVs. The Garmin Bicycle Mount Bracket comes with hardware and instructions.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Attn: eTrex Legend Hcx owners
The bike mount works great. For the Garmin eTrex Legend Hcx, I installed the clip that came with the gps unit on to the original back cover. The clip then attaches to the bike mount. The bike cover for the gps that comes with the bike mount does not fit the eTrex Legend Hcx. But you do not need it. Just use the clip that comes with the gps unit.

4 Stars This DOES work with the eTrex Vista
I, like many reviewers, was disappointed when I saw that the back cover provided with the mount does not fit on the eTrex Vista. Then I saw a helpful comment to one of the people complaining about this not working with the Vista. You need to screw on the mounting attachment that came with eTrex Vista. This then fits snugly on the provided mount. You don’t need the provided back at all. In many ways this is better than using the back that came with the bike mount. The original back is waterproof and much sturdier than the plastic back that came with the mount. I attached it to my bike and it performed well. The only reason for four stars is I don’t like paying for a back that I don’t need.

I thought that this bit of knowledge was important enough to put it in its own review and not be buried in a comment. My thanks to the person who commented about how this mount works with the Vista.

1 Star Doesn’t work with the ETrex
This item doesn’t work with the with the etrex version that his the micro card on the left hand side. I had to go to a ram mount Don’t waste your money

4 Stars Works for both old and HC lines.
I have the original eTrex Summit – works great! Only cons are the pain of removing the screw to switch handlebars, and the reduction in comfort from the new battery panel. One thing to keep in mind when mounting (if you have an electric compass) is it needs to be level otherwise it won’t give proper readings.

Also have experience with using this with the eTrex HC line – just don’t use the replacement battery panel! The screw piece you need to attach to the unit is included with the box, which you hopefully saved.

4 Stars There is a better part
If you are buying this mount for a eTrex Vista HCx then don’t! The actual handlebar mount is fine but you are also paying for a new rear cover for an older model GPS that will not fit. There is a Garmin part #010-10496-01 that is just the clamp that is needed without the useless back cover and it is obviously cheaper.

Garmin Travel Accessory Pack for all nuvi 4 3 inch Portable GPS Devices

Includes 4.3″ Carry Case, AC Adapter, and USB Cable / For Nuvi 2xxW, 2×5W, 6xx, 7xx, 8xx series GPS models

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Garmin Travel Pack
The Garmin Travel Pack is a nice set. It includes everything the Garmin needs. I do like the case to protect the Garmin. I would like to comment though about the USB cable. It should have been included with the Garmin. Just another way for the manufacture to sqeeze more money from the consumer!

5 Stars Everything needed in one package
Each component in the travel package is exactly right. The leather sleave fits my Garmin 760 perfectly and is easy to use. The wall charger provides the essential option to in-car charging. The USB cable is a good-to-have spare for the one shipped with the GPS.

5 Stars Don’t leave home without it!
Although this includes a USB cable like the one that comes with the Nuvi 885T the other accessories will come in handy both at home and when traveling abroad. Highly recommended to expand your GPS’ usability and to protect your investment.

4 Stars Peace of Mind
I purchased this in conjunction with the purchase of a Garmin Nuvi 255w.

I read where other reviewers used other USBs and chargers with their Garmins. I did not feel comfortable doing this, because I did not now if any damage would result. What I did not want to see was little whiffs of smoke coming from the Garmin. So, for peace of mind, I bought this kit.

I am satisfied with this purchase.

5 Stars Well Worth It
I missed this, or it was not available at the time when I made my purchases.

I bought each item in the kit separately and paid nearly double for what the kit cost.

This is well worth the price.
