This AC Wall Charger with US plug is specifically designed for your Magellan GPS receiver to charge the built-in Lithium-ion battery and keep your Magellan RoadMate or Maestro GPS powered and charged up for hours of navigation, music listening and photo viewing.

5 Stars Great Function
This wall charger is great for my Magellan Maestro 3140. I like having the option of charging my Maestro at home while I program new addresses.

5 Stars Power cord.
This charger was perfect for our Magellan GPS. Was required to upload maps and updates.

5 Stars It works!
I was surprised, this charger actually works! So many of the chargers sold seperately now days don’t work. If you have any of these models for the Magellan and need to charge in house rather than in your car, this charger will work for you.

5 Stars Necessary for Map Upgrades
I just upgraded the maps on my Maestro 3140 to the 2008/2009 versions, and the AC adaptor is just about required for keeping the unit powered up during the multiple hour upgrade cycle (I’ve read, and the upgrade software says, that interrupting the update process by running out of power or some other reason will end very badly). It also seems that the car adaptor doesn’t do as good a job as plugging it in at home and letting it charge overnight. I already had one around the house somewhere but couldn’t find it, so I figured the only way I’d find that one was to buy another.

5 Stars AC Power Cord
My Magellan Roadmate 3000T GPS did not come with an AC Adaptor. This is the only place I could find one. Great purchase. Good price and fast delivery.

TomTom is going for the ultimate in portability with the 2008 ONE 130S by integrating a nifty fold-out mount right into the devices. No more trying to figure out where to stash that big, clunky mount in your car – just pop it off, fold it up and carry the whole thing in your pocket. Of course, the ONE 130 series also features the plug and play ease of use, rock-solid navigation and sleek designs. The ONE 130S adds text-to-speech to the base 130 model. This means instead of hearing “turn right in 50 feet”, you’ll hear, “turn right in 50 feet at Ohio Street”. In experience, this is probably the most useful step-up feature for a GPS navigator.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Great GPS
This is a great GPS and particularly like the built in mount so there’s 1 less piece to take. It is fast and re-routes fast. Very intuitive. Only wish it would tell you the destination was on your left or right hand side as you approach the destination.

3 Stars Outdated map on refurbished unit
I spent nearly two hours with tech support to get the unit working after I received it. It had hung up with a white x after the software update the installation utility had suggested. Two of three techs I talked to were friendly and made an effort. Apparently the refurbished units don’t qualify for the ‘new map guarantee’ but one of the techs took pity on me and sent me an update for my one year old map. Beware that the refurbished unit could potentially cost more than a new one if you purchase all the map updates to make it current. I had not considered how expensive the maps and updates are over all – certainly a significant consideration when you choose a GPS.

The unit is small and feels well built, I have yet to find out how well it works for navigation.

4 Stars TomTom One 130S GPS
This is my first GPS purchase. I researched various products at wildly different pricepoints on the web before choosing the refurbished TomTom One-130-S. While it may not have all of the bells and whistles of the more expensive models, it is very functional. I was somewhat disappointed that TomTom’s “Latest Map Guarantee” does not apply to refurbs, but a call to customer service led me to find that the unit’s map was only about six months old…so no problem. I’ve tested the unit on destinations that I normally travel and found that when I deviate from the suggested route, the TomTom quickly recalculates wihout insisting on making a U-Turn. I’ve also used it on trips to unfamiliar areas and was very pleased with the quality of the direction. The feature of having the voice identification of street names is definately worth the few extra bucks over the standard One-130. I am very pleased with this product.

5 Stars Next best thing since sliced bread!
The tom tom 130 S navigator is so simple to operate. The audio is real clear and when travling down the road with the windows open you can still hear it very clear. The graphics is fantastic, I think the tom tom 130 S is excellent quality and would highly recomend it.

5 Stars Great item
TomTom ONE 130S 3.5-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator (Factory Refurbished)Excellent shape. Had one month with no problems. Upgraded from a TomTom XL. Text to speech is far superior.

Description neglects to notify you that you will receive the improved locking window mount (actually works), USB adapter, car charger but not the home charger.

1 Star Is there a review less than 1……..
I have ordered two of these for my children for Christmas…..both didnt want to tell me that neither one of them worked til now. This stinks, now I have to try and figure out if Magellan will stand by this product or did I just made an expensive error. With two items being defective and factory refurbished not fixed….I would not waste my time or money. Spend the extra get something that has not been returned!!!

3 Stars Good GPS, bundled accessories are iffy.
The GPS works very well. The maps are old, but that’s not a huge deal. My main beef is with the chargers. Neither one fits into the socket on the GPS particularly well, so the battery shutoff reminder is almost constantly being activated. Also, the fuse in the car charger is very fickle, so we’ve had to replace that more than once already. If it weren’t for these issues, it would have been a 5 star review.

5 Stars Great!
This is a great product! I love it! The only problem I have is that some streets aren’t in the system. My current street is not, and I’ve lived here for two years! Oh well, can’t have everything! I love the fact hat I can search by Points of Interest. This is a BIG help!

4 Stars Inexpensive GPS
Great price. Probably “older” technology or look (I don’t know, I’m just guessing — I wasn’t in the market for a GPS but couldn’t resist at the price). But quite functional, and the little thing is a lot smarter than I am. Pretty easy to use/figure out, too.

5 Stars Great GPS
I brought this for a gift for my husband and we used it the day he got it. It works great and he was pleased with it and so was I. We went to Chicago and got lost because we didn’t follow the directions it gave, but it got us back on track and we ended up where we wanted to be pretty quick. After that my husband was convinced that this thing knew what it was doing! I was worried that a refurbished one would be a problem, but so far, so good. I liked saving money and my husband liked the ability to go places without having to download maps, etc.

The Earthmate LT-20 GPS System is a powerful, portable tool for in-vehicle GPS tracking. This WAAS-enabled receiver has DeLorme’s proprietary Kalman filter for superior accuracy and fast acquisition. The 12 channel, low power chipset provides improved GPS tracking in weak signal conditions, plus a cold start time of less than 45 seconds.

I have owned the 2006 version of this program since it came out. I travel for a living and have used it on both coasts and in the midwest EXTENSIVELY. The ONLY thing it is good for is giving you a rough idea of how long your trip will take. THE MAPS ABSOULETLY STINK EVERYWHERE!!!!! There is a MAJOR 4 lane hiway near my home (Hwy 2 from Lincoln NE to Nebraska City, NE) that has been there for 5 to 10 years and it isn’t even on the map (It still shows the old 2 lane hwy 2 and tries to redirect you OVER AND OVER AND OVER again). I have found this also in at least 2 other states. It has even directed me to the wrong TOWN!!! (In California when I was going to Stanford University)

Delorme Earthmate LT-20 … If I could rate this product lower than one star I would! I purchased this program thinking it was as good as it used to be in 2004. NOT! First off I was led to believe it was ther 2007 version…it’s not! It’s 2006 Street Atlas. And they want $10 more to give you the 2007 SA update. That’s not gonna happen! I ‘ve tried everything I know and can’t even make it open to MY city. It opens to Washington DC…I live in Southern CA. It lists my home on a street 1/2 a mile away. Personal preferences such as POIs and info for trip planning have to be set each and EVERY time you open the program. There’s no such thing as personalizing it and saving your preferences so you can quickly set up a route knowing that all your preferences are in place. It couldn’t even find the North Rim of the Grand Canyon until I put the latitude & longitude in for it! What good is that??? When I set up POI to find Campgrounds in a certain area, it cannot find them even when “I” put the names in….much less perform a search on it’s own. This program is absolutely beyond useless. Worst money I’ve ever spent on a map program. I won’t be buying this again!

5 Stars Exceptional Value and Amazing Features
Couple this with the new 2009 Map CD and this is, hands down, better than any dashboard unit. Not only is it feature rich – the details are amazing; you can even have it search a street and get every phone number and address and person on the street… add them to phone book and put a place [reference] on the map for you to get directions – turn by turn.

Also,of course, works like a regular dashboard unit – input a start and destination or just a destination …and it gives you visual and verbal -live – turn by turn directions right to your destination. If my laptop was a little smaller and lighter – this would be ideal. I have to admit setting up the laptop in the car for a short trip is not very practical … but other than that – it’s ideal. And inexpensive. Plug and Play. I’d recommend it to anyone with a laptop. Oh, and it’s great for pre-planning [of course] becasue you have your computer – not a little gadget… right in your living room, etc.

3 Stars not for truckers
If you are a truck diver this is not for you, it help a lillte bit but it gives sometimes routes that are not good for trukers like , thru mountains even trying to choose just interstates.

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Great features… but the buttons are killing me!
I like the navigon and all it has to offer — the zagat guide, etc… but I have to admit, it is not out-of-the box user friendly. I’d like to think I’m not an idiot, and I just wish it was a little more intuitive.

Second, the buttons KILL me. You have to tap, and hard. The buttons are very small, so it’s frequent that when you mean to hit one letter, you get the one next to or below it. It’s irritating, especially if you just want to get somewhere quick.

But in terms of features, I do think the Navigon is strong, and I like the larger widescreen.

5 Stars In comparison, 7100 stands out
Over the holidays I was able to compare my recently purchased Navigon 7100 to a relative’s Garmin 250W and I found that I was confirmed in my choice of the Navigon. I know they have differing features, so I’m just talking about the apples to apples comparison: My Navigon’s 7100 had a much easier to read “reality view” screen than Garmin’s display. The screen sizes are the same (4.3″ full-color) but the views differed greatly, with the 3D graphics of Navigon’s being much more user friendly, especially the signage feature. For anyone not good at interpreting maps, this feature is fabulous as it’s so much more intuitive. The night view of Navigon was also easier for me to read.

With regard to the navigation itself, I found both Garmin and Navigon had the same shortfalls- local routes they chose didn’t compare to my own knowledge (even on optimum vs. fast mode), but out-of-town directions were valuable on both. Both had workable voice directions that used passable street names- not stellar, but I did like Navigon’s voice better. The POIs on my Navigon work well for my needs, and I didn’t really compare those on the Garmin. I liked the menu on my 7100 better but that may be because I’m more used to it than Garmin’s.

The differences between these units come down to the features that I paid more for on the Navigon but that I simply can’t get along without- the 7100’s “out-of-the-box” traffic is a godsend, the bluetooth calling that linked to the POIs dampens my craving for an iPhone, and the Zagats Reviews are always helpful when figuring out where to eat/visit. One of the more superficial reasons I like my Navigon so much more is that the look of the unit is much sleeker and simpler than the others out there. Again, my iPhone craving is appeased with my Navigon as it shares similar simple yet sleek characteristics. I also like the mount itself on the 7100 which is a much better design than Garmin’s where we had to always wet the suction cup to make it stick.

All around, I’m happy with my purchase of the 7100.

1.0 out of 5 stars CUSTOMERS AWARE – FreshMaps deceptive Marketing, April 16, 2009

(REAL NAME)

I love my 2100 Navigon. (Read my review on the same). I loved it so much when it got destroyed I went and bought a 2nd. Navigon. You may buy a 2nd. navigon due to various reasons – like my case, just for upgrading to newer model, vandalism (more & more happening now), etc. So here I am, with just 2 downloads from possible 12 and I try to register my FreshMaps subscription service — REPEAT NAVIGON SAYS IT’S A SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE for my new Navigon – 2200T. Nada, zilch, zero, null. Customer service: NO, YOU NEED TO BUY NOW A NEW SUBSCRIPTION, NEW FRESH MAPS, etc. etc. I tell them – where it’s written in their terms & conditions – it’s not transferable. No Sir – not written, it’s ASSUMED. It’s our Company policy, etc. That’s PURE VANILLA DECEPTIVE MARKETING and also absolutely foolish strategy. Why? I returned back my 2200T, went to [..] ; bought myself a nice USED 2100 and I continue to happily and merrily use my FreshMaps subscription!! So, ALL YOU GOOD FOLKS – remember – if you buy this you’re locking yourself into Navigon’s product for the lifetime of the subscription. This includes TRAFFIC, ZAGAT, everything. I just thought all should be made aware of this limitation.

4 Stars Easy to Activate but Map is not available yet.
I bought the Navigon 5100 and then purchased a model 2100 for my daughter. I activated the Map service for my daughter and plan to update her GPS when the next Map is available. Navigon was good by Including a free complimentary map update with the updated software for both my Navigons, so their maps have March 2008 dates on them. The price for map updates is very affordable compared to others. I live in Dallas so their Lifetime Traffic service has really been a help to myself and my daughter. I will be adding this Map service to my own model 5100. They do recommend to install a download manager. I have a good DSL connection but trying to download the update without the download manager is very slow. The download manager uses bit torrent and this makes the download much faster so it is a very good ideal to go ahead and install the download manager first using the link from their website. It would be nice if a person could order this update on DVD when you don’t have a broadband connection. Using dial-up would be insane as it is around 1500 megabytes in size to download.

1 Star Owner/sucker
I purchased it on 7/22, got it on, it never worked, I returned for repairs on 7/28, they recieved it on 8/1. They finally got it to the repair department on 8/6. I called on the 8/8 and they said that it should be shipped back to me on 8/11 and i should have it by the 15th at the latest. Well the 15th cama and went. I called again on 8/22 and now they are supposed to ship a replacement on 8/25… We will see…. Not too happy.

4 Stars A nice addition for your navigon gps, amazon over charges
Overall, this is a good, inexpensive addition for your navigon gps unit. It’s basically the paper zagat restaurant guide along with reviews of other attractions (hotels, golf courses, etc). I paid 16.99 for this directly from navigon (19.99 with 25% off code), so I’m not sure why amazon is charging so much.

Pros:

-Detailed restaurant reviews and information like hours/phone numbers

-Convenient restaurant categories such as best food, best service, etc.

-Additional reviews of other attractions

-Relatively inexpensive at $16.99

-Updated regularly (yearly i think)

Cons:

-POI search is hard to navigate through (inherent to navigon devices)

-Arrows don’t allow you to scroll through a review, only page up/down

-Great coverage in big metropolitan areas, limited coverage elsewhere (think of which cities they actually make the zagat guide for)

-Navigon charged me $1 shipping even though nothing was actually shipped. They just e-mailed me the activation codes for the service.

1 Star $19.99 on Navigon’s website
Navigon has an MSRP of $19.99 and is selling it direct from their website. Not sure where amazon gets the $39.99 MSRP.

5 Stars $$$ Great Deal $$$
I have this card for a few weeks now, and it is worth every penny. I’ve downloaded over a thousand dollar worth map software and there still a year to go.

1 Star Received wrong order!
I don’t know if it was a specific problem with this particular order or if it was just a mixup in the shipping dept. at Amazon, but received a completely wrong item. If you are really anxious for this right away, suggest you download directly from DeLorme.

5 Stars Fantastic Deal!!!
I ordered the Map Library along with my PN-40 unit. This map library was one of the deal-makers that led to my buying the DeLorme GPSr. I mainly use the aerial images and the 1:24k topo quads. The color images for my area look to have been taken a couple of years ago, while the b&w’s look about 6-7 years old. This will vary by geographic area. You can layer the maps in any order, and view hybrids with the Topo 7 data over the aerial (or whichever view you choose).

This annual subscription is just an unbelievable deal. The downloads I’ve made already would cost hundreds (going on thousands) of dollars if I bought the maps individually.
