Every Garmin product is designed to meet the most demanding standard: customers’ satisfaction. That’s why Garmin equipment is manufactured to give you reliable service for years to come, with intuitive features you can grow into over time – all at a price you can afford.

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars Poor design makes this carrying case a bad buy
While this carrying case appears to be well constructed, its side panels are too tall for a 760. Had someone actually pushed a Nuvi into the original design, they would have either reduced the height of the side panels or cut slots in them to allow for the on/off slide switch. You have to be very careful when inserting the GPS into the case that the side panel doesn’t catch the on/off switch and turn the GPS on. If I had it to do over, I’d buy a zippered camera case from Wal-Mart.

1 Star Doesn’t fit Nuvi 500/550
Contrary to what it indicates in the listing, this case does NOT fit a nuvi 500/550. The 500/550 are too thick to fit into this case.

5 Stars great
Fit is perfect. you need this to travel so the GPS is safe ,Great product

5 Stars Handy little carrying case
I bought this for my husband, along with a Garmin Nuvi and a friction dashboard mount. He loves everything, and finds this little leather case so handy to slip the Garmin in and pop in his briefcase. I bought this as a package along with the Garmin and the mount…good purchase. I highly recommend this case.

1 Star carrying case
The carrying case is not worth the money. If the gps was bought for a car you’ll probably never use it.

I bought this after I had a GPS bounce off the pavement. It is a real flexible and easy adjustable mount made specifically for the Garmin Nuvi 610, 660, 670 and 680. I gave it 3 stars because it comes in pieces in a plastic bag and does not include a part list or intsructions. You have to guess as to if you have it installed correctly and if you got all the parts you were supposed to get.

5 Stars Awesome
I’m able to mount my Nuvi 680 on my bike securely and ride for hours, even over bumpy terrain and this holds on like a champ. I highly recommend the RAM products to anyone that wants an aftermarket GPS mounting system.

4 Stars Perfect fit for a Garmin Nuvi 205
I purchased the Glisson GL35BC Premium Leather Case for 3.5 inch GPS. My Garmin Nuvi 205 GPS fits perfectly.

1 Star This case is not made from leather….
It is well-made BUT it is made from vinyl not like advertised. Not from “Premium Leather”. Hey, Amazon what are you doing to your customers???

Who are other reviewers saying it is premium-leather made??

4 Stars Stylish and functional way to protect a GPS unit.
This product is exactly as pictured, with no surprises. The quality of the product, including the leather and construction is very good. The only complaint that I have is that the belt clip is not removable, making it a little cumbersome to fit it in a purse or smaller space without some effort or the risk of the clip snagging. The case is hard sided, offering great protection for my Garmin Nuvi 255. The magnetic closure is a convenient way to secure the GPS unit, but the top cover is rigid and can easily become an obstacle in removing the unit while worn on a belt. The top of the sides are open, not completely covering the unit, but this is intentional to allow the power button to remain in the off position or to prevent unnecessary pressure that may break the button all together. The only thing that you need to watch out for is getting use to removing the GPS unit without damaging the power button which can easily happen if great care is not taken when removing the unit from the case. There isn’t enough room to grip the front and back of the unit with your fingers, so you are forced to remove the GPS by gripping the sides, which is why I recommend getting use to doing this gently to avoid damaging the power button or dropping the unit. Overall, I am happy with this product despite the inability to remove the belt clip.

5 Stars Gps Case
Great Leather Case. Slides over my belt. I put the GPS in the case when I leave the car.
Every Garmin product is designed to meet the most demanding standard: customers’ satisfaction. That’s why Garmin equipment is manufactured to give you reliable service for years to come, with intuitive features you can grow into over time – all at a price you can afford. Fits perfectly For nuvi 200- 250 – 260 – 270 – 350 – 360 – 370 Personal Travel Assistants

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Garmin case
We found the case to be convenient. You just have to remember to put the Garmin in the case “face down” so you keep your fingers off the top switch when time to take it out.

1 Star Pretty, but your GPS will fall out of this case
I own two Garmin Nuvi’s a 670 and 765. This particular case came as standard equipment with the 670. The first one allowed that 670 to drop out of the case if the open end was ever pointed anywhere near down. Gravity pulled that GPS out of there many times. I lost the original equpiment one, and replaced it with a newer version of this case. The GPS fit was a bit more snug, but the GPS could still slip out.

If you always carry your GPS with the open end of the case between parallel and vertical to the ground, this is a gorgeous useful case. If you are like most people, and sometimes let things go random directions, well your GPS will land on the floor.

In addition, the little open pouch you see on the front of this unit, absolutely nothing fits inside there. I think you might get a piece of paper to fit in there, but certainly no SD cards (unless you want this hideous bulge on the outside of the case). That is certainly a major waste of fine leather.

One positive thing about this case, the leather is nice.

Look for the Garmin carrying case with the flap. That one will never ever let your GPS fall out.

5 Stars GARMIN nuvi 255 case
This case is a perfect fit for the Garmin nuvi 255. There is no need for a strap to hold the unit in the case, as it is a nice snug fit. Perhaps a “belt loop” would have been nice, but if you are looking for a case to protect your GPS when you put it in a purse or glove compartment this one will do the job.

2 Stars Overpriced, but what choice do you have?
I’m giving this item 2-stars mainly based upon price. At the time of my purchase, this item is over $12.00. It’s a small case that is made in China (what isn’t these days) which probably cost around $1.00 to produce. I which other companies would come out with alternative cases. The only one I find is from Case Logic and is over 10-inches long, so it will not fit in many glove compartments, though you can put the power cord inside it. I purchased this case simply because I didn’t see another option.

I find it amusing that on the back of the package is written “Durable case protects your GPS and keeps all accessories together. KEEPS ALL ACCESSORIES TOGETHER??? I guess someone in China wrote that also and it got mixed-up in translation.

4 Stars Fits the need – snug fit – watch the power switch!
What can I say – it is a case. My Nuvi fits snugly inside and looks fine. Not sure it affords much protection in terms of cushion, but it will save the screen from other objects in the pocket or my wife’s purse.

Only annoyance: you really need to watch how you put the Nuvi in or you will inadvertently switch it on. The switch side needs to be by the opening.

4 Stars Magellan Roadmate 4.3 Leather Case
Quality product that protects the Magellan Roadmate when not in use, but would have been more useful to have a belt attachment on the back when only your pocket is available for safely carrying it.

5 Stars Also fits Nuvi Widescreen
This is exactly what I was looking for for my Garmin Nuvi 250W 4.3″ unit. I wanted a quality, protective, simple case with no bulky belt clip and, in a gamble that paid off, this is it. Fits the Nuvi perfectly. Dual magnets provide a very positive front flap closure. The leather is very soft and possibly a bit thin but it is leather with a very nice feel. At the same time I had the Garmin fold-over leather case that you can see the screen in and while the weather was a bit more substantial this case just was my preference. One small note is that the sides of this case are not conpletely enclosed but rather a 1.75″ leather connecting piece. Not that it’s a big deal but it can leave the corners of the unit potentially exposed in a drop scenario but I don’t think this is worth worrying about. For $20.00 you will be VERY hard pressed to find a better case if you don’t need a belt clip. It’s A-OK with me.

5 Stars thanks
Thanks, we just love this case and we think this is the best way to protect out megallin.

Great product! Excellent Quality. Worth Purchasing. I’d highly recommend this item for anyone looking to protect their GPS. Please note.. this is designed for a 4.3″ GPS.

3 Stars Insufficient or out dated maps
I have owned a Magellan GPS but needed to upgrade due to the unit no longer receiving support from Magellan ( 4 -5 years old )….after registering the Garmin ….I discover the map data is 2008 /2009 with a new “FREE” map upgrade available in June 2009 but….it requires a 16 hour – 2 GB download….or if you order the DVD from Garmin…you must pay shipping and taxes for a one day old unit……I think that sucks…..the DVD should be FREE…otherwise the unit functions as it should…..I haven’t decided if i will return it yet….Magellan seems to have a decent unit 1470.

3 Stars Left, no, RIGHT!
For the most part this gps is okay but it has an unfortunate habit of saying things like “Turn left in 200 feet,” but then you get to the intersection it says “Turn right onto (streetname).”

Of course these units are never substitutes for human experience/knowledge of various routes but it regularly tells me to take routes that are backassward.

4 Stars great gadget, poor traffic aid
This is my first gps and I had big expectations.

The nuvi 265t is easy to use and I was able to just switch it on and go find a NobHill shop in the area.

Unfortunately, it does not tell you which side of the street your POI is. You hear that you have arrived at destination but you still have to look around to find the place on your left or right hand side.

The real, and maybe only, issue is actually traffic aid. I was stuck in Half Moon Bay, California, for about 30 minutes and it was still claiming that there was no traffic on route…! The Navteq traffic coverage map does include that area so, I am supposed to install an extra antenna??? No way, that is not acceptable. I think I am just going to ignore the free live time traffic feature on this unit.

5 Stars Great new tool!
This has been a great travel tool so far. I’m anxious to do the road update as I have already traveled on some new highways that are not loaded in the maps, therefore, the device continually tries to route me back on listed roads. The bluetooth portion of it is nice, however, I’ve been told I sound a little distant from the device when I use it. You will have to watch the placement of it if you plan on using bluetooth. Otherwise, it’s a great tool and I hope to have some fun this summer with it.

4 Stars Happy but not perfect
I recently purchased the Garmin 265T 3.5 and I researched alot of GPS’s, I did not want to spend a ton of money but wanted simplicity with specific features.

I really like the product although I find it is not 100% accurate. For instance, it may tell me I have arrived, and I have passed the destination, or the destination is still several hundered feet in front of me. It sometimes says the destination is on the left, when it actually is on the right as well.

So all in all, it is a great product with full of features that I need, but I have to be careful to not completly rely on it’s accuracy in locating the actual destination as far as the specific location.

The bluetooth works great when I have used it and seems to be better than my actual cell phone bluetooth.
